06 December 2025, Dumka: On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3rd December, Loknayak Jayaprakash (LNJP) Eye Hospital, Dumka conducted a free eye screening camp at Village Pasai, Panchayat Dande, Block Poraiyahat, District Godda. The camp aimed to ensure accessible and inclusive eye care, especially for persons with disabilities. Prior information was disseminated through public announcements to encourage community participation.

A total of 214 individuals underwent eye examinations during the camp. Of them, 29 people were identified with cataract, and 29 individuals with refractive errors received spectacles, including five persons with disabilities, who were given priority in all services.

The camp was efficiently managed by Optometrist Mr. Rajkumar Ghosh and his dedicated team comprising Komli Murmu, Subodhini Besra, and Vivekanand Singh, whose efforts ensured smooth execution of the programme.
