We are restoring eyesight in areas with poorest eye health facility, and by reaching out in remote villages. Currently our intervention is in Jharkhand and Bihar. We have plans to expand our reach to West Bengal, Odisha, and North-eastern states as well where millions of people are going blind without accessible eye health facility.

👁️ Strengthening Community Eye Health through Capacity Building!Under the Netra Vasant – Rural Eye Health Programme, implemented by Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra (NBJK) with the support of Sightsavers India, a one-day training on Eye Health and Inclusion was organised on 23rd July at the Panchayat Bhawan, Keredari under the aegis of JSLPS CLF Livelihood Organisation.A total of 57 participants, including Sahiyas, ANMs, health workers, Panchayat members and Gender CRPs, enhanced their knowledge on cataract identification, referral services, inclusion and promoting women's participation in eye care. The training also focused on village-level surveys and community screening camps to identify cataract patients for referral to Community Health Centres, followed by surgical treatment at LNJP Eye Hospital, Chauparan or Sadar Hospital, Hazaribagh.The session was facilitated by Mr. Vipin Kumar and Mr. Akash Kumar, in the presence of Mrs. Anju Devi, Mukhiya of Keredari Panchayat, Mr. Kirti Rawat, District Programme Officer, Rural Eye Health Programme, Sadanand Kumar, and other dignitaries.#eyehealth #netravasant #SightsaversIndia #Nbjk #CommunityHealth #CataractCare #HealthForAll #inclusion #jharkhand Sightsavers India ...
