On the occasion of World Sight Day, NBJK run Lok Nayak Jay Prakash Eye Hospital, Bahera (Chouparan, Hazaribag) organized a mega Eye Screening Camp at its Vision Centre, Sherghati (Gaya). This was supported by Sightsavers India @Sightsavers and Seva Foundation @Seva_Foundation This served as total OPD-223, cataract identification-69, hospital ref. 32, refractive error-82, spectacles distribution-38 and low vision device distribution-05 along with transportation facility for patients from remote villages.

28 September 2019, Bahera-Chouparan (Hazaribag): LNJP Eye Hospital, Bahera has organized eye screening camps at Shivganj, Aamas, Rajabigaha and Chandiasthan in Gaya district of Bihar during the week. The medical team identified and selected 100 cataract suffering people there for surgery. All those were operated successfully and their eye sight have been restored. Pune based Mukul Madhav Foundation and Finolex Pipes have supported the initiative.
