26 September 2024, Keredari (Hazaribagh): Under the NBJK’s Inclusive Eye Health Program, a training session for Panchayati Raj cadres and functionaries was successfully conducted at the Keredari Block Office. The event, supported by Sightsavers India, the National Program for Control of Blindness (NPCB), and the Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS), focused on enhancing eye health and inclusion efforts in rural areas.
Additionally, an orientation session for Panchayat Mukhiyas, ASHA workers (Sahiya Didis), and other health workers was held under the Netra Vasant-Rural Eye Health Program. A total of 51 participants including members of Panchayat Samiti took part.
Speakers included Mr. Vipin Kumar (JSLPS), Mr. Rajeev Ranjan (CHC), and Mr. Raman Kumar (Sightsavers India), who emphasized the importance of these initiatives. Mr. Kiriti Rawat (DPM-REH) announced upcoming eye screening camps aimed at making Keredari block free from cataract.
