22 May 2022, Hazaribagh: Refresher training for Disabled Peoples’ Organizations, their leaders and networks has been organized under the Inclusive Eye Health project by NBJK with support of Sightsavers. , Hazaribag.
Mrs Babita Sinha from CREA was the key Resource person for this Training event. Dr Jitendra Kumar, SPO-Sightsavers, Jharkhand introduced the program, shared key objectives-mission of Inclusive Eye Health program and others by Sightsavers. 37 DPOs’ members and leaders from different blocks of Hazaribagh district have attended the training.
The resource person has focused upon key topics like Gender, Equity and equality, Human right, Disability types, Act and rights, Barrier free environment, accessibility for PwDs, women and old aged persons related to eye health and overall health etc through open discussion and group activities.
Mr. Kirti Rawat (DPM-REH, Sightsavers), Mr. Akash Kumar (Optometrist, Churchu Vision Centre), Mr. Deepak Kumar (Social Facilitator, Sighstavers), members of Divyajyoti NGO and others have contributed to the Refreshers’ training held at Jan Vikas Kendra, Hazaribagh.
