

21 September 2025, Hazaribagh: LokNayak JayPrakash Eye Hospital, Bahera Ashram, Chouparan (managed by Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra – NBJK) organized a comprehensive eye screening camp at the Collectorate premises, Hazaribagh.
A total of 212 individuals underwent eye examinations during the camp. Out of them, 5 cases of cataract and 9 cases of diabetic retinopathy were identified. The hospital distributed 106 spectacles (81 near vision and 25 distance) and 121 eye drops free of cost to the beneficiaries.
The eye examinations were conducted using modern diagnostic machines, ensuring accuracy and quality care. The medical and support team included Mr. Santosh Kumar Puri (Hospital Manager), Dr. Kavita, Mr. Kirti Rawat (Program Manager), Ms. Ambar Nidhi Shroff (Optometrist), Mr. Praveen Kumar Singh (Optometrist), Mr. Virendra Dangi (Driver cum Multipurpose Staff), Ms. Shanti Devi, and Ms. Rekha Kumari (Ophthalmic Clinical Assistants). The camp was organized under the supervision of Mr. Kirti Rawat, District Program Coordinator, NBJK.
Importantly, all identified cataract patients will undergo free cataract surgeries at Lok Nayak Jay Prakash Eye Hospital under the State Health Insurance Scheme.
