20 January 2025, Deoghar: NBJK’s Vimla Ramkrishna Bajaj Eye Hospital, Deoghar, recently organized 49 eye screening camps across remote villages in Giridih, Deoghar, Jamui, Lakhisarai, and Banka districts, addressing the critical need for accessible eye care services in underserved areas.

Key Achievements (21 Dec 2024 – 19 Jan 2025):

  • 771 OPD consultations conducted.
  • 406 cataract cases identified and treated with free surgeries.
  • 237 refractive errors detected, ensuring timely interventions.
  •  110 individuals provided with free medicines on the spot.
  •  24 patients referred to the base hospital for immediate care.

Cataract patients received comprehensive free services, including surgery, medication, black glasses, travel, food, and stay.

This impactful initiative was made possible with the support of Sightsavers India and Kotak Securities, reaffirming our commitment to combating avoidable blindness.
