30 March 2024, Deoghar: In the month of March 2024, NBJK run Vimla Ramkrishna Bajaj Eye Hospital, Deoghar has organized 24 Outreach Screening Camps in the remote villages like Kendua, Semaria, Kagesar, Majro, Guraha, Pesham, Baghmari with others in Giridih, Deoghar and Jamui districts of Jharkhand-Bihar.
The campaign has covered Jamua, Giridih Sadar, Bengabad, Birni, Deoghar Sadar, Devipur, Sono and Khaira blocks of these districts. The Eye Screening Camps have ensured total 394 OPD and detected 174 cases of Cataracts. Besides this, 124 cases of Refractive Errors and 14 with Pterygium have been identified during the camps. 46 eye patients have received medicinal support on the spot while 02 cases were referred to the base hospital for better treatment. VRBEH’s associated Vision Centers of Giridih, Bengabad and Jasidih have supported these Outreach Screening Camps.
All Cataract patients will go through surgery at VRBEH, Deoghar free of cost along with their transportation, stay, food, medicines & follow up services to defeat their preventable blindness.
