19 January 2024, Chandwara (Koderma): In a heartening collaboration with Damodar Valley Corporation, NBJK’s LNJP Eye Hospital, Bahera (Chouparan, Hazaribagh) organized a transformative Eye Screening Camp at DVC Club, Kanti Panchayat, Chandwara block, Koderma district on 16th Jan. The inauguration, graced by Mr. Dilip Kumar Singh (Chief Engineer, DVC), Mr. Harishchandra Singh (Deputy General Manager-CSR, DVC), and local leaders, marked a significant milestone.
The camp provided free eye checkups to 475 villagers, distributing essential care to 280 individuals with medications, 276 with spectacles, and identifying 95 cases of Cataract. Swift actions were taken, transporting Cataract patients for necessary surgeries at the base hospital.
Praising the initiative, Mrs. Manju Devi (Pramukh, Chandwara Block) highlighted the critical role of eye care, while Mr. Shyamdev Yadav (Mukhiya) acknowledged the camp as a boon for the local community.
Coordinated by Mr. Harishchandra Singh (DGM-CSR, DVC) and executed by LNJP Eye Hospital’s dedicated team of Mr. Santosh Puri, Mr. Vikant Singh, Mr. Ratan Prajapati, Mrs. Shanti Devi with OA diploma students of LNJPPI, this event was made possible through the invaluable CSR support from Damodar Valley Corporation.
