29 August 2022, Deoghar-Giridih: NBJK run Vimla Ramakrishna Bajaj Eye Hospital, Deoghar is organizing Eye Screening Camps at villages of Giridih and Deoghar districts.
During the period of 20-29 August 2022, it arranged 11 such camps at Naitand, Thariyara, Deothar, Bhayadih, Bhawanpur, Chuliha, Bariyarpur, Simaria, Kendua, Suardehi, Bhanudih villages of Jamua, Giridih Sadar and Mohanpur blocks of both the districts.
Through these screening camps, total 283 eye patients have availed checkup facility and 97 were found with Refractive Error while Cataract was detected with 115 among them. 30 patients had other eye problems and 8 including all Cataract patients have been referred to base hospital.
All the services are free of cost under the Mission of Avoidable Blindness Free Jharkhand.
